Glier's Goettafest is taking place this August in Newport for four days. This event usually attracts more than 185,000 visitors to the area each year.
The ‘star’ of the festival is goetta, which is a German-American breakfast sausage that contains ground pork and beef, oats, onions, and spices. Visitors will have the opportunity to try a wide variety of dishes containing the mixture. Organizers are promising that no food dishes will cost over $6 each. Other food and drinks will also be available for purchase, and there will also be a goetta vending machine that sells 1lb packages of the meat.
There will also be lots of entertainment taking place during the festival, including games such as corn hole toss and putt putt. There will be amusement rides, a goetta corny contest, a fishing pond, and face painting activities. Music is set to be provided by several artists, including Matt Coward, the Rusty Griswolds, Hanky Panks, and Acoustic Karl.
Visitors are sure to come to this event from all over the area, including nearby Erlanger. To help spread the word, local printing companies often provide products such as Flyers that can be quickly and easily distributed.
Glier's Goettafest will be held at Festival Park Newport from August 6 to 9. Admission is free of charge. To find out more about the event, contact Kerry Schall at 859-292-1613.Get a Free Quote for Flyers
