Erlanger delights in fright at carnival

The City of Erlanger is putting the finishing touches on its Halloween Carnival. The event features a movie, games, entertainment, and lots more in one spooky-themed evening.

The movie will be held at a haunted railroad depot, which will be decorated in the theme of the season, adding an extra atmosphere to the park. In the center of the festival, a large screen will be set up, where the movie ‘Corpse Bride’ will be shown. Refreshments will be served during the festival and the movie showing, though no food vendors are currently slated for the fest.

In addition to the film, the festival will be filled with carnival games, such as ski ball, milk jug toss, and target shooting, allowing children and families to try to win prizes. A lot of fun family-themed activities have also been promised on the Flyers, along with some as yet unannounced entertainment set to take place before the movie showing. Trick or treating will not be included among the festivities, however.

The Halloween Carnival will take place on October 15 from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Haunted Railroad Depot Park, located at 3313 Crescent Ave. The movie will begin at 7:15 pm. Attendance to the event is free to the public. Anyone interested in more information is urged to contact the city directly.
