A bar in Elk Grove Village has announced that it will host a pinball tournament next month, allowing area enthusiasts to compete for bragging rights in a fun setting.
The February Stern Army at Mikerphone Brewing has announced the schedule to pinball lovers and others who want to try their luck, providing a fun evening where attendees can drink beer, compete, and support local businesses. The gathering will bring pinball players from the surrounding area together, allowing attendees to make new friendships over common interests.
The matchday format will allow up to 28 players to participate in the competition. If more than 28 players sign up, the format may be altered to accommodate the size of the field. Sponsors and host venues can use cost-effective marketing measures like flyer printing to promote such events in the community through impressions.
A $1 portion of the registration cost will go to the International Flipper Pinball Association. A prize pool will be gathered to be awarded to the top players at the competition in recognition of their skills. A raffle will also be held, giving attendees another opportunity to leave the competition as a winner.
The competition will be held at Mikerphone Brewing in Elk Grove Village, and is set for Thursday, February 5, with registration starting at 6:15 PM. Interested parties can register for $5.
