Soil is a very important component of tree health, and those who participate in a day of learning that has been planned for Boise, arborists and other in the field will learn about how vital healthy “dirt” can be.
James Cassidy, who is a soil science instructor at OSU and Brian Jorgenson, who is an Urban Forester with the City of Boise, will be the facilitators of a day long workshop that will look at soil from a variety of perspectives.
The morning sessions will lead the participants through an exploration of the role soil can play in tree health, and also how its living and non-living components interact with the trees that grow in it. During the afternoon portion of the day, the group will head outdoors to take a tour of the Boise Green Stormwater Infrastructure and learn how it was developed and why it was chosen for use in the city.
Ticket prices for this learning opportunity start at $144.00 each, and students can purchase theirs at a discounted rate. Print shops will be able to supply an assortment of instructional materials for use during this type of occasion.
The workshop will be taking place on April 26th at 2603 W Eastover Terrace in Boise. The Pacific Northwest ISA can be consulted for further details or to register for the event.Get a Free Quote for Print
