A Boise workshop will show how easy organic gardening can be, and when the learners leave for home, they will each have a better understanding of the basics of going organic.
Both ornamental and fruit and vegetable crops will be covered in the Organic Gardening Workshop, and the end result of using the techniques can be beautiful plants and healthy, homegrown food. The benefits of using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) methods will be taught, and the class can either be a starting point for the gardening newbie, or a refresher for those returning to the hobby.
The group will discuss garden planning, and they will also find out how to select plants that will do well on their particular plot. Water management and weed and pest control will also be addressed, and while it is free to take part, the planners have requested for everyone who would like to take part to register ahead of the date.
This sort of workshop offers introduction to organic gardening, but there is often a lot more to learn. Giving each registrant a printed guidebook can provide them with even more tips and suggestions, and these can be ordered from a printing services company.
The local gardening community is invited to discover the basics of going organic this Wednesday, March 4. It will be on offer at 715 S. Capitol Boulevard.
