Boise workshop to benefit birds

Like many species, birds have been greatly impacted by human activity, but a Boise workshop hope to reverse the trend.

When the public is looking for a way to aid their feathered friends, gardening may offer them the solution they have been hoping for. This will be the focus of the online “Bird Friendly Gardening” session, which is a presentation of the Idaho Botanical Garden.

The participants in the virtual workshop will find out how the plants and other landscape elements they choose can impact the local ecosystem, offering food, shelter, and a place for animals to raise a family. The attendees will discover which plants tend to attract birds, as well as why offering fresh water is also important, and there will be tips shared for incorporating nesting sites and other shelters into the design for a property. Tickets for the evening start at $15, and both Garden members and non-members are welcome.

When preparing to host this type of virtual learning session, it can be a good idea to connect with a local poster printing company. It will be able to supply visual learning aids and other materials.

This chance to discover how easy it can be to make birds welcome will be offered on Thursday, April 22. Everyone is asked to sign in by 6:30 pm that evening.
