Boise park to undergo community clean-up

Boise residents have been asked to show their community pride by rolling up their sleeves and helping to tackle a local clean-up project.

Boise’s Trash Club is a group of community-minded people who organize clean-ups throughout the area. It has an event in the works for Esther Simplot Park, and is hoping that there will be plenty of public interest in the event.

Those who register will be issued gloves, trash Bags, and grabbers, as well as hand sanitizer, for the task at hand. Anyone who is interested is welcome, and it has been advised that those who plan on getting involved should wear sturdy footwear and comfortable clothing, and bring lots of water to drink. The clean-up will run for one and a half hours. It was noted in its listing that Trash Club also has special activities just for students registered at Boise State.

Clean-ups and other projects can help residents to become active stakeholders in their community. A poster printing company will be able to help spread the word so that as many helpers as possible will show up to lend a hand with a particular project.

The club has put out a call to city residents to get involved with its litter clean up on May 21. There is no registration fee, and an Eventbrite listing offers more details.
