Boise greenhouse to welcome 29th annual Koi Show

A Boise greenhouse and garden center offers the community a place to both purchase plants and learn new skills; its list of activities includes one that will introduce koi and their care.

Koi is a popular choice for outdoor gardeners who want to add a fish to their pond or other feature, and they come in many sizes and patterns. Edwards Greenhouse has invited the Idaho Water Garden and Koi Society to hold its 29th annual Koi Show on site, and this activity is open to the public.

The group will be setting up its show in the venue’s Legacy Garden, and it will feature an assortment of koi tanks with fish on display. The public can ask questions and learn more about these fish and whether or not they are a good fit for their own water garden. Food trucks will keep the crowd fed, and along with the koi, there will be a collection of bonsai to view and also some raffle draws.

Admission to the show will be free, and everyone is encouraged to drop by so they can learn more about koi, which are a type of carp bred for their color and form. A poster printing company can prepare eye catching materials to aid in marketing an event.

Edwards Greenhouse will be hosting the 29th annual Koi Show on September 16th. It will be open to visitors from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
