Boise conference planned for Idaho educators

Idaho educators who are interested in adding to their skillset may wish to save the date for a symposium on the way to Boise.

The theme of ‘Better Supporting Student Learning’ has been selected for this year’s Teaching & Learning Symposium, and it will include a keynote address by Dr. Valerie Purdy Greenway, who will be discussing how identity threat can affect student achievement and explore ways that the faculty can make a difference.

Lunch will be provided to the delegates, during which there will be lots of time for both networking and sharing best practices. During the afternoon portion of the day, delegates will be able to sit in on an assortment of presentations, depending on their particular area of interest. The organizers noted that, as this is a popular event that tends to fill up quickly, anyone who is interested may wish to reserve their space by registering as early as possible. A printer can use digital copying techniques to produce Copies of handouts and other learning materials for this type of occasion.

This year’s Great Ideas for Teaching & Learning Symposium will be taking place in the Jordan Ballroom, which can be found at 1700 West University Drive in Boise, on January 3. Additional details, and a chance to register, can be obtained by visiting the event’s website.
