Boise asked to take aim at trash

Boise’s Trash Club takes great pride in helping to keep the city looking great, and it has put out a call seeking help for a community clean-up.

The organization is looking for willing hands to help with its downtown litter sweep, and all ages are welcome to get involved. The volunteers will be supplied with the materials they need to get the job done, and these include trash Bags, gloves, hand sanitizers, and grabbers to help them pick up the trash.

When the helpers arrive for the function, they will receive their tidying supplies, and it is advised they wear sturdy shoes and comfortable clothing and bring along some water as well. Facial covers are mandatory to help prevent the spread of Covid, and while RSVPs are requested from the general community, those who are affiliated with Boise State will not need to register ahead of time.

While people who volunteer with a project like this often do so to lend their community a helping hand, they may still appreciate receiving a token to thank them for their hard work. Trash Club has made plans to undertake the clean up on June 20. It is scheduled to start at 11:00 am with a staging area located at The Grove Plaza in Boise.
