Area fantasy fans may want to take note that Markster Con’s popular Wizard Pub Crawl is hitting the Macon streets this October.
Markster Con is well-known in the Southeast for organizing events centered on geek, nerd, and alternative fandoms, with a special emphasis on costuming and cosplay. This year it will bring its fantasy-themed bar crawl event, Wizard Pub Crawl, to local bars and venues in the downtown district. The arcade bar Reboot Retrocade & Bar will be the event’s home base where bar crawlers can sign up for numerous events, games, and contests.
The bar crawl will cover multiple bars and venues, such as Cashman’s Pub, Just Tap’d, and Macon Beer Co. There will be wizard-themed stops at each location where patrons can enjoy drink and shot specials, photo ops, and special tasks. Attendees will even have the opportunity to receive themed gifts, including collectable Wizard Pub Crawl pins, personalized attendance letters, and other Promotional Products.
The Wizard Pub Crawl is scheduled for Saturday, October 10 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets are available for $25 on Eventbrite.com, and 200 ‘Early Sorcerer’ tickets, which include a free signature wand, will also be on sale until October 1. To decorate for the event, participating venues will likely require assistance from businesses offering banner printing.
