Macon’s arty folks should note that 478 Creatives will hold the How to Find Your Why Workshop to help artists craft a written bio that authentically describes them and their work.
478 Creatives is an organization made up of artists, makers, and creatives who wish to build a strong collaborative community that fosters learning, exploration, and camaraderie. The group is responsible for hosting various workshops, collaborations, and social meetups in the Macon area.
The workshop in February will teach artists, musicians, and creative professionals how to craft an authentic and compelling narrative they can use to promote their work and connect with the wider community. Writing experts will be available to guide students through how to uncover the ‘why’ of their art, and how to express this to others. Topics to be discussed include defining a target audience, refining the three core pillars of self, and mastering the art of individuality in writing a Macon 365 bio.
Writing workshops such as this will often require students to bring writing utensils and Journals with them. Such materials can easily be acquired by visiting local Stationery printers and similar shops.
The writing workshop is scheduled for Friday, February 23 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. It will be held at Mill Hill Community Arts Center, which is located at 213 Clinton Street. Tickets are $50 and are available from Eventbrite.
