Macon to host golf ball drop for local charity

Next month, The Boys and Girls Club of Central Georgia will host the Hailstorm Golf Ball Drop to raise funds for the organization.

The Boys and Girls Club’s mission is to provide young people with the building blocks to develop into productive, responsible, and compassionate citizens. To raise money for its operations, the Club will hold a golf ball drop, a game of chance in which participants will have the chance to win a share of $25,000 in cash.

The golf ball drop will take place at Luther Williams Field. Participants can purchase balls in advance for $25 per ball. A limited quantity of special pink balls will be on sale for $100 each, which doubles the money the entrant can win. The golf balls will be dropped from the air by a helicopter and whichever ball lands closest to the designated target wins the grand prize of $10,000. The second closest ball will scoop $2,500, with decreasing amounts for balls third through eighth place.

For charity events like this, organizers often benefit from using brochure printing to create informative Brochures about their organization and sponsored events.

The Hailstorm Golf Ball Drop is slated for May 4, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, though people do not have to be present to win. Balls can be purchased at The Boys and Girls Club of Central Georgia’s website.
