Macon to hold community biking event

Bike Walk Macon and AARP Georgia will present the next free Macon Bike Party this June for the community to participate in a relaxed bike ride through the city.

Bike Walk Macon is a grassroots organization advocating for bicyclists and pedestrians by working to enhance transportation and mobility, ensure safe roads, and promote healthy communities. The organization provides free resources and educational events for Maconites to confidently and safely navigate the roadways and greenways. The Macon Bike Party is an example of such events, as it will give people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate in a slow-paced communal bike ride.

Attendees will meet at The Triangle on Old Forsyth Road, a popular running and biking loop for locals. Organizers will also go over safe city cycling tips, and then everyone will depart as a group, following the loop until they end up back at The Triangle. Bicyclists will need to bring a helmet, but Bike Walk Macon will provide night lights, beverages, and snacks.

News about community events like this is often shared through Flyers distributed in the community, and local printing services specializing in flyer printing can be helpful in creating these.

The Macon bike ride is scheduled for Thursday, June 9, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Triangle is located at 1425 Old Forsyth Road.
