This June, Macon will host the 2023 Georgia AgTech Summit to bring together industry experts to discuss the expanding field of agricultural technology and how it can benefit global agriculture.
Agriculture has long been Georgia’s largest industry, and with the tech sector growing each year, these two dynamic industries have come together in exciting new ways. The summit is expected to attract leaders in AgTech industries from across the state in the fields of controlled environment agriculture, precision agriculture, and food processing technology. Academia, government, and the private sector will work together to solve some of the world’s most pressing food production problems.
The summit will begin with a networking session in which attendees will have the chance to mingle with prominent players in AgTech and like-minded peers looking for collaborations. Afterwards, there will be welcoming remarks, introductions, and a keynote address. Attendees will then be able to join breakout sessions to brainstorm ideas and discuss current research. The summit will end with the Georgia AgTech Startup Pitch Competition.
Research-focused conferences like this will often involve many poster presentations, so area Print shops specializing in poster printing may encounter an influx of business during such events.
The AgTech summit is scheduled for June 7 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. It will take place at Middle Georgia State University, located at 100 University Parkway. The summit is free to attend.
