Macon shows its poetic side

The Essence of Poetry Annual Show will take place in Macon this December. It will offer an evening dedicated to spoken word and lyrical artistry.

The show has built a reputation for fostering community connection and will bring together poets from across the Southeast. These poets will offer a night of powerful performances focused on community themes, social awareness, and empowerment.

For newcomers and long-time poetry enthusiasts alike, the show also promises a space for growth, creativity, and unity.

While romance is welcomed in the spirit of connection, the performances will maintain a focus on community-building and refrain from explicit content. Vendor tables will be available for those interested in selling merchandise. Signed Copies of featured Books will also be available for purchase in advance or at the venue.

The event’s featured Books are “47 Seconds,” which will cost $13 and “Parenting Anxiety and Little Ones,” which is $25. Additional taxes and fees apply.

General admission tickets will cost $25 plus taxes and fees. Tickets can be purchased through the Eventbrite listing. The event is open to individuals 18 and older. Banner printing can be used to highlight vendor tables at events such as this one.

The Essence of Poetry Annual Show will take place on Friday, December 20 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Tubman Museum, 310 Cherry Street, Macon. Doors will open at 6:00 pm.
