Macon gathers for tournament of love

Pickleball enthusiasts are invited to join the "Macon Love 2025 Valentine's Tournament” this February.

Billed as the world's most extensive pickleball tournament, the event promises a lively and competitive Valentine’s weekend. The schedule includes women's doubles and men's singles on Friday, mixed doubles on Saturday, and men's doubles and women's singles on Sunday. Matches will follow a round-robin format, with medal rounds held for brackets with more than three teams.

The match will be self-monitored, with players overseeing matches instead of referees.

Registration opened online on November 20 and remains available through February 9, with a $65 entry fee. Refunds are available for cancellations made by January 20, minus a $15 fee. For added peace of mind, the event offers insurance to cover weather-related cancellations and emergency withdrawals. However, players who do not show up without informing the tournament manager will incur a $25 penalty. Attendees should note that parking at the venue is free.

There will be a total of 32 hard surface counts and the brand of ball being used is Diadem. Tournaments will take place indoors, and air conditioning will be provided. Court nets will be portable and permanent.

Print shops may be used by organizers to provide participants with details about tournaments such as this one.

The tournament begins each day at 8:00 am from February 14 to 16 at Rhythm and Rally Sports, 3661 Eisenhower Pkwy, Macon.
