Macon fashion show to benefit local crisis center

Macon will play host to the Dreams & Dragonflies Fashion Show this April to raise money for the Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia.

The fashion show and gala will benefit the Crisis Line & Safe House’s mission to support women and children who are suffering or have suffered family violence and sexual assault. The organization is a nonprofit agency that serves the seven-county area in Central Georgia. It began in 1971 as a 24-hour Crisis Intervention Hotline, and now includes in-house counseling services, a legal services division, two sexual assault examination centers, and a shelter. The nonprofit also works to educate the community on the cycle of domestic violence and how to prevent it.

The event will bring together several local boutiques and clothing stores to showcase their wares. The fashion show will revolve around a whimsical, fantasy theme, with models displaying clothing that matches this fantastical style. Ticket purchase will include refreshments and two bar tickets.

Charity events like this will often attract local businesses offering Promotional Products and community support in exchange for free advertising.

The charity fashion show is scheduled for Thursday, April 11 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. It will be held at Emerson at Plum, which is located at 543 Plum Street. General admission tickets are $50 per person.
