Macon’s Museum of Arts and Sciences will kick off the holidays by hosting its 34th Annual Festival of Trees Gala in November.
The Museum of Arts and Sciences serves Macon and Central Georgia as an integral source of artistic, cultural, historical, and scientific education for the public. The Festival of Trees Gala is a charity event hosted each year to raise money for the museum’s operations and outreach efforts. The gala’s theme, the Festival of Trees, refers to the museum’s annual holiday art exhibition of over 40 Christmas trees decked out by the region’s most talented decorators.
Before dinner, attendees will be treated to a sneak peek of this exhibit, as well as to a silent art auction in the lobby. Afterwards, guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner by the local eatery Fountain of Juice and dance to live music by The Grapevine band. For those wanting to enjoy a fancy cocktail, open bars will be available in each area of the museum. Such events often employ the services of businesses specializing in banner printing to help decorate and set the mood.
The gala will take place on Thursday, November 12 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the Museum of Arts and Sciences. Dress code is black tie, and tickets can be purchased on eventbrite.com for $100 plus service fees.
