Lizzie Bordens story comes to life in Macon

The Society Garden is hosting a unique theatrical experience this October, titled "40 Whacks: A Haunting Cocktail Ax-Perience."

The event will combine storytelling and mixology, bringing the story of Lizzie Borden to life in a chilling, immersive setting.

Attendees will enter a Victorian-style salon to see a live performance based on the 1893 homicide case of Lizzie Borden, the woman accused of murdering her parents with an ax. Local actors, guided by a script from screenwriter Paige Henson, will recreate the mystery and suspense of the case.

Throughout the 90-minute show, guests will enjoy three specially crafted cocktails, with surprises between each act. Audience members are encouraged to dress in period costumes to enhance the experience.

In addition to the performance, guests will have the opportunity to indulge in themed dinner offerings from Liliana's meal truck. Those attending the 6:30 pm, Friday, or Saturday shows are encouraged to hang out and enjoy live music starting at 8 p.m. on the venue's main stage.

Tickets are available now, with no refunds offered for cancellations. The price to attend is $45 plus fees. Tickets can be bought through the Eventbrite listing.

Brochure printing can be used to provide attendees with details in events such as this one.

The event will be held at The Society Garden, 2389 Suite B Ingleside Macon, Georgia. It will run from Wednesday, October 16th, through Saturday, October 19, with 2 showings each day.
