Next month, Siempre Flamenco will present the 20th Annual Festival de Cante Flamenco Miami, bringing with it the alluring sounds and dance of the art of cante flamenco.
The art and tradition of flamenco singing, or cante flamenco, has deep roots in Spain’s medieval music history, with Romani, Moorish, and Jewish influences all entwining to create a rich tapestry of sounds and movement. This traditional singing is seldom heard outside of Spain, so the festival promises a unique and enriching experience for all who attend.
The 20th edition will showcase two of Spain’s most celebrated dancers, Raquel Heredia and Rafael Campallo. The featured singers include Javier Heredia, Mari Peña and Diego Amador, Jr., with talented guitarists Antonio Moya and Jose Cortes Pansequito providing the main musical accompaniment. Rounding out the ensemble will be the founding members of Siempre Flamenco, Paco and Celia Fonta, who will impress with their honed dancing and guitar-playing skills.
Musical festivals can frequently be seen advertised on Flyers that may be handed out on the street or affixed to communal bulletin boards. Print shops specializing in flyer printing services can be good contacts for organizers when needing to prepare such materials.
The 20th Annual Festival de Cante Flamenco Miami is scheduled for July 10, beginning at 8:00 pm. It will be held at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, located at 1300 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami.
