After a brief hiatus, the Mandarin Art Festival is returning to an in-person event over Easter weekend.
This will be the main fundraiser for the Mandarin Community Club community education, beautification and preservation programs, and will include prize drawings.
Jacksonville artisans in painting, photography, mixed media (including graphics, printing, and drawing), functional fine art (such as metal, pottery, fiber, and leather), jewelry, and sculpture/glass will be on hand displaying and selling their creations.
Guests at events such as this often enjoy collecting artisans’ Business Cards.
Local businesses that deal in hand-crafted goods and services will hold a Green Market where passers-by can find goods such as jams, jellies, soaps, and baked goods. For those not wanting to wait to get home to enjoy these items, there will be a bake sale in the Club House on the Saturday, continuing into Sunday if supplies hold out.
The Children’s Art Show will be displayed in the Clubhouse. The top three place winners in the Best in Show for School and Student, as well as People’s Choice in Grades 6th through 8th, 3rd through 5th, and Kindergarten through 2nd grade, will be announced on the event’s website on Sunday.
The festival will be on Saturday, April 16 from 10:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday, April 17, from 10:00am to 4:00pm at the Mandarin Community Club, 12447 Mandarin Road.
