What's Happening in Jacksonville, FL…

First Coast Veterinary Specialists and Emergency will be holding their Mutt March 2025 in early April.

The march will offer both a one-mile loop and a quarter-mile loop.

This is considered Northeast Florida's largest pet festival and walk and this year's Jacksonville Humane Society fund-raising goal is $100,000. All proceeds will go to the Jacksonville Humane Society's mission of caring, comforting and finding homes for over 8,500 animals annually.

Participants are encouraged to register as individuals or in teams and dogs do not have to be present for the stroll through the scenic campus. After the walk everyone is invited to bid for items in the silent auction, shop at local vendors and enjoy family activities and live music.

Individual registration will be $30 and event T-Shirts will be $20. Prizes will go to the top three fundraising teams and two team runners -up and to the top three individuals and two runners-up.

This year's Mutt March will take place Saturday, April 5th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the University of North Florida, 1 University of North Florida Drive, Jacksonville Beach.

Local vendors that sell pet-themed items and those seeking sponsorships may contact the university.

In lieu of event t-shirts, some enterprising individuals or teams attending events such as this may opt to have special t-shirts made for them and their dogs. These shirts may then be taken to local Print shops for team logos to be applied.
