Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is opening its doors to their newest event, Colors of the Wild: A ZooLights Lantern Experience.
The four-hour event will reveal custom-made Chinese silk lanterns blending with wild places, plants, and wildlife in over 70 displays throughout the grounds.
A 164-foot-long lighted display that imitates the style of a Chinese dragon coils around walkways, and a menagerie of other mythical creatures will tell traditional Chinese myths while illuminating the evening.
Zoos like this and other public venues often have pictures taken during their events for promotional purposes. These photos can often be taken to local Print shops to be used in visitor guides and other advertising materials.
Member tickets are $20 to $25, non-member admission will be $25 to $30, and non-member combo admission will be from $35 to $40. Combo tickets will allow guests to arrive at the park between 3 and 4pm and stay until closing. Children under two years old can enter free of charge.
Member preview night will be November 17, and opening nights for the public will be November 24, 25, 26, and 30. Regular December Holiday Nights will be December 1, 2, 3, and 7 through 10, 14 through 24, and 26 through the 31.
The opening nights for the lanterns, along with all other nights, will begin after dark at 5:30pm, and the zoo closes at 9:30pm.Get a Free Quote for Print
