Local health and fitness enthusiasts will be heading to the annual Jacksonville Health & Lifestyle Festival coming in early May.
The event will be free and will feature wellness resources, health screenings, food, vendors, and entertainment.
Sessions will include men's fitness classes, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), dance, and yoga, and health professionals will be giving free check-ups and wellness services. A farmers’ market will be selling fresh farm products, and beauty vendors will be offering services and products for both women and men. A Kid Zone will have a petting zoo, inflatables, games, and face painting for the little ones, while pets will get their own health services, treats, and care opportunities. There will be a pet adoption area, too.
In order to get their business name or logo out to the community, farm market vendors and food trucks often take their paper goods to local Print shops to have their names or logos printed on them.
Live entertainment will include dancing, bands, and other music performances, and food trucks will be offering vegetarian and vegan options along with healthy and more indulgent eats. A community resource area will have booths with information on nutrition, wellness, and lifestyle options.
The Jacksonville Health & Lifestyle Festival will be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 3 at Ford on Bay, 288 E Bay Street in downtown Jacksonville.
