Dazzling Lights opens soon at local gardens

Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens will be opening its annual Dazzling Lights toward the end of November.

The event will be located in and around the 120-acre arboretum picnic area, with more than one million holiday lights and lighted displays along the paved Lake Loop Trail, spanning three quarters of a mile.

The journey will begin with a photo opportunity in front of a 30-foot Christmas. Guests who take advantage of photo opportunities like this in good time often take the pictures to local Stationery printers to be made into Holiday Cards.

Festive holiday bites and hot chocolate, wine, and beer will be available for purchase. To add to the magic, a 65-foot lighted tunnel will be available, complete with manufactured snow and lights that make bell sounds as people pass them.

Tickets will be $25 on weekends or $22 during the week, and must be bought online. Onsite parking will be $12 and must be purchased along with the tickets. Parking can also be found at Regency Square Mall, 9501A Arlington Expy. A complimentary shuttle will be available to take guests to and from the event.

The opening night will be November 19 at Jacksonville Arboretum and Gardens, 1445 Millcoe Road. Gates open at 5:30 pm and the last entry will be at 9:00 pm every night until January 9, 2022.
