A logistics company currently operating in Doral will relocate to Hialeah when a new facility is complete.
Triton Logistics, a freight and distribution company, currently has a facility in Doral that covers 75,000 square feet. The new facility in Hialeah, which should be completed in 2023, nearly doubles that space, measuring 149,597 square feet. The warehouse is inside Hialeah’s Countyline Corporate Park.
Jason Gonzalez and Frank Trelles were the realtors representing Triton Logistics. Trelles said Triton will hire as many as 100 employees to work at the new location. The VP of Human Resources for Triton, Grether Ubeda, said the company has increased its business so greatly that it needed more space. She noted that Triton’s growth has been exponential during the pandemic, and added they will probably be hiring office personnel, accountants, warehouse workers, and drivers.
In addition to adding needed space, Triton will have a more favorable lease. In Doral, Triton is paying rent of about $17.50 per square foot. That amount will drop to approximately $12 in Hialeah.
The demand for industrial space is increasing in South Florida, as new companies move to the area. In some cases, such as Triton, companies have leased new spaces while they are still under construction.
