The 2nd annual Night under the Stars, a fundraising event for the Lynne Mitchell Foundation, is taking place this September in Coral Gables.
Guests who attend this fundraiser will be treated to cocktails and an open bar. Those who purchased VIP tickets, which are now sold out, will attend an earlier cocktail reception. There will also be appetizers and a sit-down dinner later in the evening. In between, there will be silent and live auctions, raffles, and music provided by DJ Hurricane Rey. Raffle tickets cost $5 each or $20 for five, and prizes include $1,000 cash or a trip to Costa Rica.
Donations are still being accepted for the auctions.
The Lynne Mitchell Foundation raises funds to help underprivileged children in Jamaica, especially the Seaview Primary School located in St. Elizabeth. It provides scholarships, school lunches, and a school building fund.
Guests will likely come from many nearby communities, such as Hialeah, to attend this charity event. Local printing companies may also have been asked to provide items such as raffle tickets.
