An artist based in South Florida will be appearing in Hialeah.
Angeé Griffin is a national recording artist who will be appearing at the Country Club of Miami along with her special guest Terry Harris, in “A Night of Love.” Comedian George W. will host the event.
Griffin is a native of Miami and an R&B singer who got her start in the late 1980s and 1990s. She dropped her debut album, “Gentle,” in 1989 on the Skyyline Records label. This is her only studio album thus far. The lead single on “Gentle” is her version of “Toby,” which was first recorded by the Chi-Lites in 1974. Her cover of the song soared to the No. 47 spot on the Billboard Hot Black Singles chart, where it remained for ten weeks.
In 1992, Griffin and H-Town, an R&B group,” were featured on “You & Me,” a single by Luke. The song climbed to No. 94 on Billboard’s Hot Black Singles chart, and stayed on the chart for a month.
The concert is on April 6, from 8.00 pm until 11.00 pm in the Gleason Room of the country club. The Country Club of Miami is located at 6801 Northwest 186th Street in Hialeah. Tickets purchased in advance are $35.00, and $40.00 at the event. The doors open at 7.30 pm. When events like this are planned, organizers will often use poster printing to create suitable advertising for them.
