The 3rd annual Juneteenth Miami Freedom Fry and Music Festival is taking place next month in Miami. It is presented by a number of organizations, including the World of Music Arts & Technology (WOMAT Show), Woodson Institute, and the Young Professionals Network of Miami.
The event is held every year to celebrate Juneteenth, which is observed on June 19 and is in recognition of the abolition of slavery.
The festival will have something that should appeal to people of all ages and tastes. The food being served is mainly African-American Southern foods including barbecue, seafood, and soul food. Guests will also get to enjoy the special Freedom Punch.
There will be displays of visual arts, musical performances from local and national artists, poetry readings, and motivational speakers. Various cultural groups will also be performing.
For the children, there will be arts and crafts activities, interactive games, and educational demonstrations.
The festival usually attracts approximately 1,000 attendees from all over, including from nearby Hialeah. It is widely advertised with Flyers or Posters that were likely obtained from local Stationery printers.
The Juneteenth Miami Freedom Fry and Music Festival will be held in downtown Miami on June 18 from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Admission is free of charge.
