Miami Spice is an annual event in which many area restaurants offer discounted three-course meals from August to September. During those two months, restaurant patrons can purchase lunches for $19 and $25, or dinners for $33 or $39. The event is sponsored by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The kickoff event for the 12th year of this event will be Iron Fork. Two chefs are given a basket of foods and are told to make something spectacular, they are then judged to see who created the better meal. The winner receives the Iron Fork Award.
Guests will enjoy food samplings from 50 different Miami restaurant, along with cocktails, beer, and wine while they watch the competition. VIP guests will have access to an open bar throughout the night.
Miami Spice helps to bring business to downtown Miami and allows people to discover the variety of restaurants available to residents. It is no doubt widely advertised throughout the area. To attract people from South Florida, including nearby Hialeah, organizers have likely invested in service such as flyer printing, and perhaps Stationery printing so that headed letters can be sent.
Iron Fork will take place at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts on August 1 from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Tickets are $40 in advance or $55 at the door, while VIP tickets are $75 in advance and $90 at the door.
