Hunting for fun in Hialeah

One of South Florida’s largest family fun events will take place in Hialeah in March.

The City of Hialeah is the host of the Eggstravaganza, one of the state’s biggest Easter egg hunts. The event involves more than 50,000 eggs, which are hidden throughout Milander Park. People of all ages are invited to enjoy getting out in the sun and celebrating the beginning of warmer weather.

The Eggstravaganza, however, is more than just a hunt for Easter eggs. Talented young artists from local area schools will be on hand to provide live entertainment, including both vocal performances and dance. Students from the Goodlet Theater Cultural Arts program will also appear.

The Cultural Arts program is an initiative of the City of Hialeah working with the Goodlet Park Theater, which offers productions, specialized troupes, and classes during the year. Classes, which are aimed at children from 6-17 years of age, include musical theater, voice, drama, jazz, flamenco, ballet, and many others.

A Kids Zone will feature interactive inflatables, carnival rides, and a chance to take photos with the most important rabbit around, the Easter Bunny. In addition, vendors will be on hand with delicious beverages and food.

The Eggstravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, March 30, from 10.00am until 3.00pm. Milander Park is located at 4700 Palm Avenue, and both admission and parking are free. Organizers of events like this will often work with companies that handle poster printing. The Posters made using this process can be displayed throughout the city.
