Hialeah will host the Terrain Race in a few weeks, which offers athletes the opportunity to participate in a challenging 5K or 10K loaded with obstacles.
For adventurous and fit participants, the race has mud pits at the Amelia Earhart Park, along with other obstacles to crawl though and over. The event tests strength and endurance. Each registrant receives a Terrain Race event shirt. Participants can compete for prize money by entering the Competitive Wave or can just enjoy running leisurely with friends and family.
This year, a new feature has been added. The World’s First Augmented Reality Finisher Medal will now be available for each of the Terrain Races. At the conclusion of the completed race, the participants will receive a finisher medal. However, the new format is provided through a downloaded app with special scanning that brings the activity to life.
Volunteers are needed to help coordinate and manage the race. Printing services are available to provide banner printing so highly visible signage can be posted throughout the race track to give participants directions. Sponsorships are available presenting the opportunity to have thousands of people see the brand.
The 2020 Hialeah Terrain Race will take place February 8 and will begin at the Amelia Earhart Park. To register individually or a team, visit the event website.
