Hialeah plans huge birthday party

The nation’s birthday is coming up, and Hialeah is in the mood to celebrate.

The City of Hialeah is the host of the Independence Day Celebration coming up at Milander Park, presented by Hialeah Park. It is one of the largest celebrations of July 4th in Florida, and has won numerous awards from the Florida Festivals & Events Association. Over 18,000 people from throughout South Florida are expected to attend.

One of the performers will be Álvaro Lenier Mesa, who simply goes by “Lenier” and is from Cuba. He won the Latin Grammy in 2022 in the “Best Tropical Song” and “Best Salsa Album” categories.

Joining him will be Marlon Fernández, also Cuban, who is known for winning season three of “Objetivo Fama,” a reality show/singing competition carried by Univision Puerto Rico, and shown in the U.S. on the Telefutura network. When he was 14, he formed his first band. Ricky Valido is a native of Hialeah who brings his hometown influence into his music.

DJ YUS and DJ A10 will also be part of the entertainment. The day ends with a laser and firework show that lasts for 30 minutes. Local food trucks will be on hand to supply those who get hungry during the party, and everyone is encouraged to arrive early to find a great spot to watch the festivities. Organizers of events like this will often use poster printing to create advertising to promote them.
