A major Easter event is on the way to Hialeah.
The City of Hialeah Eggstravaganza has been a hugely popular event for years, and is one of the biggest egg hunts to be found anywhere in South Florida. Children of all ages will enjoy the spring sunshine as they hunt for the more than 50,000 eggs that will be hidden in and around Milander Park.
Although hunting for eggs is the main part of the event, attendees have many more opportunities to have fun than just peering through shrubbery hoping to find eggs. Live entertainment is also scheduled, and hunters can enjoy performances by talented students from dance academies, local schools, and the Goodlet Theatre Cultural Arts program. The Goodlet Theatre programs include dance classes in flamenco, contemporary, ballet, belly dance, hip-hop, lyrical, Latin beats, and jazz. The theater’s cultural classes include music appreciation, violin, guitar, voice, and piano.
There will be a Kids Zone featuring interactive inflatables and rides where kids can play throughout the entire afternoon. They may have an opportunity to have their photo taken with that guy with the floppy ears—the Easter Bunny. Beverages and food will be available to purchase separately. When outdoor events like this are scheduled, organizers can use banner printing to create sturdy, weather-resistant decorations.
The Eggstravaganza is scheduled for April 16, from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. Milander Park is on Palm Avenue, and the event offers free admission and parking.
