Hialeah’s first virtual Halloween event will kick off next week with a costume contest. With several categories, all family members including pets can participate.
Entering the virtual costume contest is easy; contestants should send in a photo in their costumes. They are encouraged to make sure the pictures are taken in areas that are well-lit and it is recommended for outside pictures to be taken with natural lighting. All contestants must live in Hialeah.
Gift card prizes will be awarded with the first-place winner receiving $150, second place getting $100, and third place $50. Several businesses are sponsoring select categories. ABC Daycare and Preschool is sponsoring the age group of birth to 12 years of age. Cricket Wireless is the sponsor for the teen age group. The adult category is sponsored by Florida Blue, and the senior level is sponsored by Canon Health. Pets have not been forgotten and will be sponsored by Lopez Animal Clinic. Each category will have its own album of images.
Graphic design is often used to promote virtual events. Logos and imagery can be created in digital format and used to recognize sponsors and promote an online event. Local printing services have designers on staff to provide assistance.
Voting will be on the Facebook page of the City of Hialeah from Monday, October 26 through Friday, October 30 at 3:00 pm, before winners are announced on October 31. For more information, visit the City of Hialeah’s website.
