The Literacy Fair is taking place next month in Hialeah. It is held each year in honor of National Literacy Month, an initiative of Reading is Fundamental (RIF).
The festival is set to be filled with indoor and outdoor activities that should appeal to people of all ages. Many local authors will be making appearances and reading from their Books. There will be a variety of performers, musical entertainment, inflatable rides and costumed characters from many favorite children’s Books. Guests are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character as well.
There will also be refreshments available and food trucks will stop by to provide snacks and meals. In addition, there are expected to be several arts and crafts activities taking place during the day.
As in past years, there may also be representatives from various local community groups that will be providing information on literacy programs and services.
No doubt organizers will advertise this event widely in the Hialeah area. In order to quickly spread the word, they may invest in Flyers or Posters that can be displayed in public buildings.
The Literary Fair will be held at the JFK Library in Hialeah on September 23 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. For the most current information about this event, contact the library at 305-821-2700.
