Day for dogs coming up in early May

Woofstock is taking place next month at Barnacle Historic State Park.

The event is open to both owners and dogs, although dogs must be on a leash no longer than six feet and be well-behaved.

There will be plenty of opportunities for people to show off their best pet tricks or to enter the pet/owner lookalike contest. There will be K-9 demonstrations and an animal blessing. Dogs will be on display and available for adoption, and there will be live musical entertainment from 12:00 to 3:00 PM.

The event will give people from all over the area the chance to show off their dogs and what they can do, or to find a new friend to take home with them. It will also allow people to enjoy the trails and other amenities offered by the park with their dogs.

This event will likely attract visitors from all around the area, including some from Hialeah. To help spread the word in the community, organizers may distribute Flyers or Brochures in local newspapers or magazines.

Woofstock will be held at Barnacle Historic State Park in Coconut Grove on May 7 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission to the park is $2 per person and free for children aged six and under. For the latest information about this event, contact the ranger station at 305-442-6866.
