Chance to celebrate Cuban culture this spring

The Taste of Cuba Festival is returning to the area next month for two days.

The festival is set to provide the best in Cuban culture, music, food, and drinks. Visual artists will be showcasing their works and providing live demonstrations in some cases; they are also expected to be selling the likes of jewelry, clothing, paintings and other handmade items.

The main draw of the Taste of Cuba Festival is the food, which will be provided by local Cuban restaurants. This will include dishes such as yucca, rice, and beans and Lechon Asado (Cuban grilled pork). Drinks will include mojitos, which are made with rum, lime juice, mint, and sparkling water.

Entertainment will include Cuban musicians and a dominoes tournament. Guests can also purchase hand-rolled cigars and relax in the Cafe con Leche.

This event will attract many visitors from all around the Hialeah area who are interested in the Cuban culture of their friends or family members. To help spread the word, local flyer printing companies may be asked to provide products to be distributed in the area.

The Taste of Cuba Festival will take place from March 26 to 27 at the Hialeah Park Casino. General admission is free; those who register in advance will be entered into a drawing for VIP tickets. Call 786-447-1118 to find out more about this festival.
