An upcoming run will offer both a fun experience and a challenge to participants.
Down 2 Earth Endurance Race, a company based in North Miami Beach, is dedicated to promoting adventure, fun, and positive attitudes. It organizes races to give both experienced athletes and non-athletes a chance to challenge themselves in a competitive environment. Races are open to runners of all ages who like to test themselves, but participants are warned that the company motto is “No whining.”
They have scheduled a 5K-10K Cross Country Run for the Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah. The park will open at 6:00 am, and participants are instructed to enter the park via the main entrance and go west to the Wake Boarding Rental Building. A sign will direct them to the location to pick up their race packet. Registration is from 6:00 am until 7:00 am, followed by a briefing for the event at 7:10 am. The race itself begins at 7:30 am.
The racecourse leads around the park and around the lake, and is a combination of asphalt, dirt road, and grass. Organizers of events like this can use banner printing to create course markers that are sturdy and weather resistant.
Registration fees for the 5K are $35 for both men and women, and $45 for the 10K, for both men and women. The run is set for June 19.
