The SoFlo Cake and Candy Expo is taking place in a week’s time, offering two days of baking fun and instruction.
The event is set to feature a number of classes costing from $10 up to $170 each for both amateur and professional bakers and candy makers. Some of the topics of the classes will include how to make blown fish, build a cake from start to finish, and make wafer paper flowers. There will also be plenty of demonstrations from professionals on various techniques like cookie airbrushing.
A popular part of the expo is sure to be the contests taking place for both professionals and amateurs. Some of the contests are in Amateur Cake Decorating, Cupcake Towers, and Cupcake Eating. Prizes to be won include cash and various baking tools.
Vendors will also be on hand to sell items such as cake and candy supplies, baking tools and cookbooks. This event will likely attract people from all over the area, including nearby Hialeah. Organizers might choose to invest in advertising tools such as Flyers supplied by local Print companies.
