Hialeah Park will once again be the setting for the annual Independence Day Celebration. The event has won five awards from the Florida Festivals and Events Association and is planning another.
The celebration attracts over 18,000 attendees coming from across the state. The Sedano’s Supermarkets stage will host a live concert touted to be one-of-a-kind.
The Kids Zone welcomes the young children for an afternoon of fun. The activity is sponsored by Gilda Crackers. A 30-minute fireworks show along with laser display will light up the sky after dark. The show is sponsored by La Colonia Medical Center.
Local food trucks bring their tasty specialties to the event. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, pick their spot to view the fireworks, and grab their snacks. Hats, sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended due to the likely hot temperatures. No coolers or umbrellas are allowed, nor are personal fireworks.
Printing services are available to assist in the preparation for large events of this type. Banner printing – usually made with heavy vinyl to withstand the outdoor elements – creates much needed signage that can be placed throughout the area pointing out parking, concessions, activities and other important areas.
The Hialeah Independence Day Celebration will take place July 4. Admission to the event is free. More information is available on the City of Hialeah website.
