Aussie rock group to rock Hialeah

A band from Down Under is getting ready to rock Factory Town in Hialeah.

King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard formed in Melbourne, Australia in 2010. The group is known for their high-energy live shows, their exploration of different genres, and their desire to build a strong discography. As they began their career, they blended garage rock with surf music on the earliest albums, then moved to progressive rock and psychedelic rock early in the 2010s.

In 2016 they began to break into the mainstream with their album “Nonagon Infinity,” which received the ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album. Then in 2017, the band kept its promise to drop five studio albums inside a year.

This huge endeavor began with “Flying Microtonal Banana,” one of three microtonal albums in a trilogy. The next album was “Murder of the Universe,” a dark concept album dealing with the end of the world, followed by “Sketches of Brunswick,” inspired by Miles Davis’s “Sketches of Spain.” The fourth album was “Polygondwanaland,” and the band finished this extraordinary project with “Gumboot Soup.” In December, the band was named “Band of the Year” by Consequence of Sound, who praised both the quality and quantity of the albums they released that year.

King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard will be in concert at Factory Town in Hialeah on November 21. When they plan events like this, organizers may work with a Print shop that will use poster printing to create advertising.
