Annual bike wheels back to Miami

ThinkBike 2015 is taking place in Miami this month, presented by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Miami-Dade County, The Parks Foundation of Miami, and several other organizations.

The event is being held over two days on the Underline, which is a 10-mile park and urban trail suitable for bike riding. It will start off with a public presentation on how the Netherlands became a cycle friendly country. This will be followed by a virtual bike ride along M-path.

The closing session, which will take place three days after the kickoff, will be held at History Miami. There is set to be a drawing for the LoveBike contest in which someone will win a VanMoof bicycle. Those who entered had to give reasons why they liked and disliked biking in Miami. This will be followed by a public party in the museum's plaza.

This event will likely interest those who travel into Miami for work, including from nearby communities such as Hialeah. No doubt organizers are working with local printing companies to help spread the word through products such as Flyers, Posters, and Booklets.

ThinkBike 2015 is taking place on January 12 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and on January 15 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Admission is free but RSVPs are necessary. To learn more about this event, visit the Eventbrite website.
