Greeley sees new hotel and eatery
At the end of August, the community of Greeley welcomed a new hotel into the fold.
The DoubleTree by Hilton served its very first guests on August 31, and Meeker’s Colorado Kitchen & Bar, located within the hotel, also served its first meals that day. Throughout the month of September, both the hotel and the restaurant are planning grand opening events.
The new hotel and restaurant are located beside the Union Colony Civic Center. The hotel also contains the Centennial Ballroom with its 800-person capacity, and the more intimate UNC Bears Meeting Room, which holds around 50. Guests at the hotel are treated to WiFi and an HDTV that measures 50 inches. The hotel also includes a Colorado Rockies Suite, which uses memorabilia from the team as décor.
Meanwhile, Meeker’s Colorado Kitchen & Bar serves meals throughout the day, with a strong focus on local, farm-to-table foods. The restaurant’s executive chef, Jacob Agranove, says the culinary team’s goal is to bring food excitement to their guests.

The hotel’s grand opening will be held on September 16, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, with an official ribbon cutting at 3:00 pm. Meeker’s Colorado Kitchen & Bar, meanwhile, will hold grand opening events on September 22 and 23.
