Greeley schedules dates for spring clean-up
A Greeley activity that allows everyone to become a hands-on community stakeholder is right around the corner, and all help will be welcome.
This year will be the 50th anniversary of Greeley’s Annual Spring Clean-Up Weekend. One of the ways residents can get involved over the two days is by taking advantage of the discounted drop-off rates available at three local collection sites.
Each of the sites that participates will have its own drop-off and payment policies in place. Electronics, including computers, will not be accepted at any of them. Island Grove Regional Park will be accepting large items, including mattresses and furniture, while Greeley Organic Waste Center will take waste wood and other organics. The third location will be on offer at 1311 North 17th Avenue, and this site will have staff on hand to collect household hazardous waste.
Communities that organize spring clean-up activities often order signage in advance to help keep the function organized. Reusable, retractable banners crafted by a banner printing company can be used for this, and as they may be deployed more than once, they make for a budget-friendly option.
Greeley will be helping local households with their spring clean-up projects on Friday, April 25th and Saturday, April 26. Its listing on the City of Greeley website includes details about what each station will and will not accept, as well as pricing and timings.
