Greeley run to release everyones inner superhero
Colorado kids in need of a helping hand will be the beneficiaries of a Greeley event that will give everyone the opportunity to become an everyday hero.
This year will see the 12th annual Superhero Run take to the paths at the Greeley Family Fun Plex, and there are several options available for those who would like to join the excitement. The activity will begin in the early morning, and all ages may take part.
The public can choose to roster for the 10k, 5k or one mile options, and there is also a free kids’ run that will introduce youngsters to the satisfaction that can come with helping others. Anyone who would like to take part but cannot do so in person can participate virtually, and the monies raised will be contributed to Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy, an initiative that supports kids and works to prevent child abuse.
To make the fundraiser a success, the organizers are counting on the generosity of local volunteers and also the area’s corporate community. A sponsorship program is in place, and the logo design of each of these companies has been included on the fundraiser’s website
This chance to extend a helping hand to a child in need of a hero will see walkers and runners lace up their sneakers on Saturday, September 21. The virtual event will begin on September 21 and wrap up on September 29.
