During the Greeley Tribune Home and Garden Show, locals will have an opportunity to learn more about how they can save water while still enjoying their showering experience.
The Greeley Water Conservation Program will have displays set up that will give tips about how people can minimize their water usage and save energy and money at the same time. A popular part of their efforts will also be returning for another year.
Those who come to the event are encouraged to bring along their old showerhead, as any resident of the City of Greeley who does so will be eligible to receive a high-functioning, water-conserving model to replace it. These will be EPA WaterSense labeled models, and anyone who would like to take advantage of this offer is asked to make sure they bring a driver’s license or water bill as proof of their residency.
The organizers of the exchange noted that showering can account for almost 17% of a household’s water use, and these water efficient models can significantly reduce this amount. A printer can use graphic design to craft materials to market an event like this to the community.
This effort to reduce the level of water use in the local area will be taking place from March 2 until March 4 in Island Grove Regional Park. Anyone who is interested in further details is invited to visit the city’s website.
