A gardening course geared toward helping wildlife is coming to the Fort Collins area in a few weeks, and residents interested in learning a new skill are invited to join. The purpose of the course is to learn to turn gardens into biodiverse ecosystems to help nature in Colorado thrive. The course instructor will help participants learn to identify native plants and create ideal ecosystems for nature to thrive.
Instructor Zoe Clark will use her experience in environmental science to guide participants towards creating healthy and thriving home gardens. Clark will demonstrate the importance of maintaining the garden and adapting the plant life for changing weather seasons. She will provide case studies displaying the benefits of creating wildlife gardens. Brochure printing is an outstanding way to spread information about wildlife gardening to interested parties.
Guests should wear clothing appropriate for gardening. Refreshments will not be made available to participants, though each guest is encouraged to bring their own food and beverages to get the most from the gardening experience.
The course is scheduled for Saturday, February 3, at the Fort Collins Nursery. Doors open at 2:15 PM, and the course concludes at 4:00 PM. General admission tickets are available online at $15 per guest.
