Fort Collins geared up for Independence Day celebrations

This Fourth of July, the city of Fort Collins has a day filled with activities suitable for the entire family.

The major event will be the parade that will take place in Old Town, from Jackson and Mountain Avenues to Meldrum Street. The theme is ‘patriotism’ and the floats will reflect this. There will be prizes awarded for the best overall parade participant, as well those recognised in second and third place.

The day will continue with a variety of events. City Park will host most of the events, including the 5K Firekracker run and walk taking place before the parade, a golf tournament, and a fireworks display to end the night.

Those who want to have a history-themed celebration can also attend an Old-Fashioned 4th of July at the Avery House. There will be Victorian games and crafts, musical entertainment, artist's booths, and a pancake breakfast.

To help make celebrations in Fort Collins more festive, local Print companies are often asked to provide services such as banner printing. Banners can be used to recognize event sponsors or to highlight certain areas.
